Dana Katz was a Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) Workspace Artist in Residence (2016–2017).
During this residency, Katz developed HIGHWAYS, an ongoing project exploring the relationship between the body and space, shaped by each performer’s physicality and personal legacy. The work culminated in a live performance at Battery Park, set against the backdrop of the Statue of Liberty—marking the closure of Katz’s decade of living and working in New York City.
Now in its final and current stage, HIGHWAYS reflects Katz’s transition from choreography to visual art, her evolving creative pursuit.
